Sue Coleman Whale Double Layer Umbrella
Style (full size):
Designed by Canadian artist Sue Coleman. The Haida believed that drowned fishermen were transformed to whales, whales near the village was thought to be a drowned person trying to communicate with his family. The umbrella features a curved wood handle, shaft, ferrule, and tips, manual opening and closing, stopper on shaft to prevent wind damage.
